Off Road Rescue Unit

The Off Road Rescue Unit does not charge for its search and rescue services. Members of ORRU pay for their own 4x4 vehicles, tyres, petrol, radios, GPSes, uniforms and other equipment. The Unit raises money to pay for the extensive radio and medical equipment that belongs to the Unit and is deployed in our two off-road trailers.

The Off Road Rescue Unit is not a charitable organisation, however donations would be most welcome to assist in the procurement and maintenance of sophisticated equipment.

If you or your company wish to financially support the Off Road Rescue Unit, we will be pleased to receive your donation. Your company may also be able to donate equipment or supply items to the Unit at special prices. We welcome anything that would ease the already substantial financial burden borne by the members themselves.
